It's a beautiful Hand carved Wooden Statue of a runaway slave commemorating the abolishment of slavery in Haiti. The statue is regarded as a symbol of black liberation. It’s a representation of a strong, courageous and determined enslaved man. For Haitians, it’s a great feeling, It makes them very proud. The idea of having such valiant and strong ancestors gives Haitian chills and fills them with an incomparable feeling.
